Erica Romkema

Erica's name is the most fun to say aloud. And, if you fiddle a bit with the tune, you can substitute her name in place of the "pa rum pum pum pums" in "The Little Drummer Boy," or, if you alter the syllabic stress, you can use it in lieu of "Carmen Sandiego." In 2005, the Dutch erected a thirty-foot statue of Erica in downtown Rotterdam; the effigy is made entirely of Klompen, and is prized as the latest Eighth Wonder of the World.
