Melanny Cowley

Melanny Cowley is a second year MFA student in the Creative Writing program. She hails from the northern mountains of Utah in the city of Logan. She received her Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Utah State University, where she worked for four years as a writing tutor. Mainly a craftswoman of fiction, her stories have been published in the USU publication Scribendi and the journal Brown Paper. Melanny's recent published story, "Broken Shoulders" appeared in print and online and you can read it here: http://www.thepaperbagwriter.org/article.php?page=fiction&id=34 In her spare time, Melanny likes to run. She also likes sewing, but has not touched her sewing machine in a few years. She loves student teaching. Melanny lives in Ames with her husband Paul, her daughter Elizabeth (8) and son Aiden (3).
