Donna Niday

Associate Professor

I teach English Education courses for students who wish to teach English at the middle school or high school level. On the undergraduate level, I often teach the young adult literature course (English 396), the writing methods course (English 397), the literature methods course (English 494), and supervise student teachers (English 417). On the graduate level, I usually teach a methods and theory course (English 521) for service and preservice teachers. I am excited about assisting teachers at all levels in helping students become critical thinkers and effective communicators.

I also work with the ISUComm assessment program. ISUComm annually assesses 16 sections of English 150 and 250 with four sections in writing, four in individual oral presentations, four in small group work, and four in visual/electronic communication.
