Dave Roberts
Associate Professor
Dave Roberts joined the Iowa State University Department of English in 1982 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1987. In his 26 years at Iowa State, Dave has taught 17 different courses ranging from first-year composition to graduate seminars. His specialties are visual rhetoric, technical editing, and the pedagogy of professional communication. In 2000, he won the Louis Thompson Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award, and in 2001 his learning community team won the Outstanding Innovations Award for Exemplary Contributions to Iowa State Learning Communities. Dave has served as Director of Graduate Studies, Assistant Director of Graduate Studies, and Chair of the Computer Resources Committee. He is currently in his ninth year as Assistant Chair for Curriculum and Scheduling.
