Jon Billman
Visiting Assistant Professor
Jon Billman was born in Rapid City, South Dakota. He has been a construction worker, wildland firefighter, high school English teacher and freelance writer. He is a Contributing Writer for Skiing and Mountain Bike magazines. His fiction has appeared in such publications as Esquire, Zoetrope and The Paris Review. His first book, When We Were Wolves (Random House), is a collection of stories set in the American West. He is finishing a novel, Embalming Will Rogers, that takes place in the Red Desert of Wyoming.
