Karen Gulbrandsen
PhD Student
Karen is a PhD student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. Before coming to Iowa State, she got her Masters in Technical and Professional Communication from Northeastern University, Boston. Her professional experience includes working for the Nonprofit Finance Fund in Boston and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison. In addition to teaching and taking classes, she works at the Virtual Reality Applications Center at Iowa State University.
