Evaluating and Assessing Digital Scholarship for Teaching and Research

This interactive workshop this Thursday, open to all, invites participants to discuss
"what is scholarly" about digital pieces published in journals and/or produced for classes.
We will talk about guidelines that are available for evaluating this kind of work as well as underscore what relationship digital scholarship has to traditional print scholarship.

Cheryl E. Ball is an assistant professor in the Department of English at Illinois State University where she is currently being reviewed for tenure. She teaches multimodal composition, digital media, composition theory, and digital publishing. She is the editor of Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy, co-author of Visual Exercises for Tech Comm (Bedford/St. Martin’s 2005), and a member of the Council of Editors of Learned Journals.
