Jaime Schultz's June 25, 2005 presentation about the Campaign for Jack Trice Stadium from the Sport Literature Association conference held here at Iowa State is now available online, in streaming format, from the EServer "Lectures on Demand" collection. The talk is titled "The Legend of Jack Trice and The Campaign for Jack Trice Stadium, 1973-1984" and consists of her presentation, along with a question and answer from faculty attending the conference.
The paper studies the representations of Iowa State University football player Jack Trice, and how these representations were used in discussions of sport and ethnicity at Iowa State University during the period from 1973-84.
Jaime Schultz has recently completed her degree in Health and Sports Studies at the University of Iowa, and will begin this fall as a faculty member at the University of Maryland College Park.
