Christopher Toth, who graduated with a PhD in 2009, has just won the 2010 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award for best dissertation in Business Communication from the Association for Business Communication. The organization gives one dissertation award a year to recognize "the top dissertation in the field, based on significance to scholarship, research, and/or pedagogy of business communication." He will receive his award at the national conference at Chicago in October. Rebecca Pope Ruark another RPC PhD alum won the award in 2007. The ABC Award for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation on Business Communication encourages excellence in graduate education. The award honors an outstanding doctoral dissertation or thesis in the area of business communication.
