Gloria Betcher Elected to Executive Board of the Southeastern Medieval Association
Gloria Betcher was elected to a three-year term on the Executive Board of the Southeastern Medieval Association (SEMA) at their annual meeting, Saint Louis University, October 2-4, 2008.
Gloria Betcher, Assistant Director of Graduate Education and Program Coordinator for Technical Communication, was elected to a three-year term on the Executive Board of the Southeastern Medieval Association (SEMA) at their annual meeting at Saint Louis University, October 2-4, 2008. Betcher will serve as a representative for the area of English Studies. At the conference she also participated in a roundtable on multimodal pedagogy in medieval studies courses, presented a paper on a twentieth-century modernization of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, and performed in a Middle English readers' theater production of The Fall of the Angels and The Fall of Man from the York Cycle of mystery plays. These plays will be recorded in May 2009 for the classr0om CD series produced by the Chaucer Studio.
