Goodwin and Hegelheimer Receive National Research Recognition

Jean Goodwin and Volker Hegelheimer

With her her ISU colleagues Gina McAndrews (Agronomy) and Russell Mullen (Agronomy), Jean Goodwin co-authored the essay "Using Environmental and Ethical Issues for Debate in an Introductory Agronomy Course." It appeared in the 2006 volume of the National Association of Colleges & Teachers of Agriculture Journal and received the 2007 B.K. Knight Award for outstanding article from the National Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriclture (NACTA).

Volker Hegelheimer and David Fisher (Ph.D. Iowa State, currently at University of Arkansas, Little Rock) co-wrote an article entitled "Grammar, Writing, and Technology: A Sample Technology-Supported Approach to Teaching Grammer and Improving Writing for ESL Learners." It appeared in CALICO Journal 23.2, and was selected by CALICO's Editorial Board as the outstanding article for the 2005-06 volume year.
