Linda Shenk receives Early Achievement in Teaching Award

Linda Shenk, assistant professor of English. Shenk's enthusiasm for teaching the works of Shakespeare and early modern British literature has earned her the affectionate nickname "Shenkspeare" among her students.

Linda Shenk receives Early Achievement in Teaching Award

English assistant professor Linda Shenk presented the Early Achievement in Teaching award by president Gregory Geoffroy at the fall convocation.

ISU Award for Early Achievement in Teaching

Purpose:

To recognize faculty members who have demonstrated outstanding teaching performance unusually early in their professional careers.

Eligibility:

Tenured or tenure-track faculty who received their Ph.D. (or other appropriate terminal degree) since January, 2003, and have completed a minimum of two academic years of appointment as an ISU faculty member. Recipients must be ISU employees at the time of the Fall Convocation.


Criteria:

Evidence of outstanding performance as a teacher, as documented by students and peers.
