Calls for Applications, MFA in Creative Writing and Environment

Announcement of an opening for a tenure-track assistant professor in creative writing at Iowa State University, to join the faculty of the MFA in Creative Writing and Environment

Assistant Professor, Creative Writing. Iowa State University.  Accomplished writer with publications in one creative writing genre and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a second genre in our newly-formed MFA program in Creative Writing and Environment. We seek a colleague whose work engages ideas of place, the natural world, and the environmental imagination who will bring fresh ideas and approaches to teaching creative writing to our program. An interest in place-based, environmental literature is essential.  Tenure-track; beginning August 2008. MFA or Ph.D. required; substantial publications (one book) and teaching experience preferred. 2/2 load to begin.
