Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL): The Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) consists of 2 prerequisites and 12 graduate credits. Courses are designed to provide basic preparation in teaching English to speakers of other languages in a variety of settings.
M.A. in English, Specialization in Literature: This two-year program balances coverage with flexibility, providing high quality, personalized instruction for graduate students interested in teaching at the secondary, beginning college and university levels, and/or in pursuing further graduate study in literature.
M.A. in Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communication: The M.A. in RCPC features a wide range of courses on the history, theory, and pedagogy of rhetoric and writing communication theory and professional document production.
M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language/Applied Linguistics: The M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language/ Applied Linguistics is a two-year advanced degree covering teaching methods and research in English language teaching.
M.F.A. in Creative Writing and Environment: Our M.F.A. program in Creative Writing and Environment offers an original and intensive opportunity for gifted students of nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and drama to document, meditate on, celebrate, and mourn the transformation of our world.
Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and Technology: The Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and Technology aims to meet the growing need for professionals in areas of applied linguistics that intersect with computer technology.
Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication: Our Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication focuses on the rhetoric of professional communities and the need for communication expertise within business, technical, and scientific communities.
