Rhetoric of Science & Technology

Faculty and students in the Rhetoric of Science and Technology study communication as part of everyday professional activity in science and technology. We explore the role of rhetoric in producing science, maintaining or changing disciplines, developing and disseminating technology, and reaching public policy decisions.  In addition to core courses in the Rhetoric of Science and Critical Theories of Technology, we also offer topic courses relevant to our current research interests.  Faculty and doctoral students often work with campus science and technology centers on technical projects, and we collaborate on funded research that takes us beyond the confines of the university.
