Colleague Voices: Science on Stage

The genre of science drama provides a great topic for discussion in technical communication. A recent National Public Radio (NPR) segment of Talk of the Nation—Science Friday reports that, “From Proof to Copenhagen, plays starring science have met with critical acclaim.”

This program looks at the ways in which “science is being brought to the stage.” Issues include adapting science content for the public, melding science and the arts, considering the need for science jargon, agreeing on the criticality of technical accuracy, and so on. (The segment includes songs from science musicals that you can listen to or skip.) To access this NPR segment, “Science on Stage,” go here.
