Support Services

Some advanced communication students may need academic or personal assistance or support. The support services listed below are available within the university.

Test-Out Procedures

Students may earn a "T" grade for English 302 and English 314 by passing a test-out examination. The "T" grade will give students 3 credit hours toward graduation. The course will then be listed on students’ transcripts but will not influence their GPA’s.

Transfer Credit Evaluation

If you have previously taken a course similar to English 302 or English 314 at another institution or are planning to take a course at an institution other than ISU, you will need to get approval to use that course in place of a required 302 or 314 course at ISU.
