Student and Instructor Resources
The Department of English helps maintain eleven of the university's computer classrooms that support a variety of composition courses— from first-year composition to more advanced courses such as business and technical communication. All classrooms have the full suite of Microsoft, Adobe, and Macromedia digital design tools; four of them—Durham 91, Ross 137, Ross 115, and Ross 420—have hardware upgrades and additional software that support the capture, editing, and production of digital video. Four other classrooms—Friley 2420, Helser 1510, Roberts 2220, and Maple-Willow-Larch C3112 and C3114—are located in residence halls and provide 24–hour access to more than 8,000 residence hall students.
For detailed information and hours of availability, please check the Information Technology Department's database of campus computer labs. A good source of general information about campus computing resources is the IT Department's FAQ database.
