Krista Klocke is a PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. She earned her BA in Speech Communication and Communication Studies with a Minor in Psychology and a Certificate in Leadership Studies from Iowa State University, and her MA in Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communication from Iowa State.
Krista is passionate about teaching, mentoring, pedagogy, course design, and online learning design. She loves designing effective learning experiences and developing innovative strategies to improve teaching and learning. She has taught SP CM 212, SP CM 312, SP CM 216, and an Honors seminar on the rhetoric of campaign ads. Her research interests include U.S. public address, the rhetoric of place (with a focus on the Midwest), visual rhetoric, and rhetorical theory.
