Sanne Langbroek is a second-year MA student in the English Literature program and a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the English Department. Sanne graduated from Leiden University in the Netherlands (cum laude), receiving a BA in English Language and Culture with a double minor in Translation and Secondary Education. Before coming to Iowa State University, she taught ESL courses at Carmel College Gouda in the Netherlands.
At Iowa State University, Sanne teaches sections of the ISUComm foundation courses English 150 and 250. She is also a mentor for Using Educational Technology in the English Language Classroom Global Online Course (GOC). In the 2022-23 academic year, she will serve as the MA student representative on the Graduate Studies Committee. Her academic interests include disability studies, queer representation in contemporary literature and popular culture, pedagogy, and literary translation.
