Bio
Ibironke Ayoka Tychus is an MA student in TESL/Applied Linguistics at Iowa State University, where she also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and is a 2026 Freda Huncke Scholarship awardee in the Department of English. She received her BA in English with Honors from North Carolina State University in 2020. As a 2023–2024 Fulbright Program English Teaching Assistant in Kigali, Rwanda, she developed a deeper interest in language, identity, and global educational exchange. Her research examines language ideologies and metadiscursive regimes, with a focus on Africa, the African diaspora, and the Global South.
