
Prof. Michèle A. Schaal presided a panel with four English Literature graduate students. The conference was the 2015 Biennial Women and Gender Research Conference at the University of South Dakota (April 9-10) and its theme was “Gender and Work: Exploring Intersectionality, Resistance and Identity.” The panel was titled “Bonding to Escape Bondage: Female Identity through Private and Public Work.” The panel was a great success and sparked a lively 15 minute discussion. In addition, Sarah Chase and Caroline Martin were granted the “First-Place Student Paper Prize.” Congratulations to both of them and to all panelists! From left to right: Ms. Chase, Leah E.
