Congratulations to Ivana Rehman! She won a National Federation of Modern Language Teachers Associations dissertation support grant for her work on an innovative approach to pronunciation training using an application that performs real-time vowel plotting called Vowel Viewer, which was developed specifically for her dissertation research. Vowel Viewer is a tool that is tailored towards effective vowel production training based on results of current research and is grounded in second language acquisition theories. It is the first of this kind to be developed for vowel production training.
