Emerging Writer Reading Series for February

Author: lskramer

I hope everyone is staying warm!  We will be holding THREE virtual readings this spring, with the first happening this coming Tuesday, February 23 at 7:00 PM.

Our readers this month will be Ginnia Kovach and Allison Boyd Justus. We hope you will be able to join us in hearing their wonderful work!

If you have joined us for previous Emerging Writers readings, you will notice that this differs from past events, which were held on Thursdays. This semester, due to course schedules, we decided to make the switch to Tuesdays. And what better way to cure the Tuesday blues than by hearing the lovely words of our MFA students?!

These readings will take place on WebEx, and the meeting will be password protected. Those outside the department and university are welcome to attend the live event. If you know of such individuals, please feel free to share the meeting information with them. This includes sharing the information with your students (as long as it is done privately through email or Canvas). Otherwise, individuals will need to contact Aimee Burch directly in order to obtain the information needed to join.

If you cannot attend the live event, the reading will be recorded and posted at a later date for your viewing pleasure!

Additionally, we plan to open the WebEx Meeting Room 15 minutes early (at 6:45) so that, if you wish, you can log in early and catch up with other attendees before the reading begins. It might not be the same as meeting over snacks and tea, but at least we can stay warm while enjoying our talented readers.

Lastly, please mark your calendars for future readings, they will be Tuesday, March 23 & Tuesday, April 20.

We look forward to “seeing” you there!
