Dear all,
As midterm approaches, I want to make sure you’re aware of some upcoming departmental events that relate to our work in Foundation Courses:
- Teaching Labs. The Department has a few more Teaching Labs this semester, so please take advantage of these great professional development and community-building opportunities. See the flyer below for details and direct any questions to Jake Dawson.
- Online Learning Team Open House. Interim/midterm grades are due Friday, October 17 at 3:00pm, and OLT is holding extended office hours in Ross 306 the week ahead of the deadline. If you have any questions or concerns about submitting grades (or anything else related to Canvas), please stop by. This event may be particularly helpful for new instructors who are submitting grades for the first time. I hear they will also have treats to share!
- Violent Incident Response Training. On October 29 from 1pm-3pm, an officer from ISUPD is going to provide VIRT training for the English Department. The location is TBD, but you may want to mark your calendar.
