Bio
Tony Baker is a writer, a TV and movie geek, and a former small-town news reporter and academic advisor. His journalistic work has been published in The Greenville (Ohio) Daily Advocate, The Early Bird, The Register-Herald, and The Sharon (PA) Herald, among others. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Writing, completed at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2015, and a Master of Arts in English, completed at Indiana University East in 2019. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing and Environment at Iowa State University. In addition to his work as a journalist, tutor and academic advisor, Tony’s creative writing explores themes of loneliness, interpersonal communication and the culture and politics of the Midwest through the lens of contemporary science fiction, fantasy and horror.
