Bio
Biyin Xu is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics and Technology at Iowa State University. She holds a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include technology-enhanced language learning, applied linguistics, and second language education. She received the Fanselow Award at Teachers College for her work in designing AI-based language learning materials. Prior to joining ISU, she taught in K–12 classrooms on the Upper West Side.
