Bio
MacKenzie Novotny is a Ph.D. student in the Applied Linguistics and Technology program at Iowa State University. She has a master’s degree in TESL/Applied Linguistics and bachelor’s degrees in French and Linguistics from Iowa State University. Her research interests include computer-assisted pronunciation teaching (CAPT), high-variability phonetic training (HVPT), and L2 phoneme perception. Having been at Iowa State since 2015, she has enjoyed working as a research assistant for a variety of projects, meeting many wonderful professors, and exploring Iowa State’s beautiful campus.
