Elizabeth Wardle is Howe Professor and Director of the Howe Center for Writing Excellence at Miami of Ohio. Her research on transfer at Iowa State led her to develop the “writing about writing” method of teaching composition. Her best-selling textbook is used widely, along with her co-edited book on “threshold concepts”. Elizabeth earned her PhD in Rhetoric & Professional Communication in 2003.
