Introducing ENGL 222X: Artificial Intelligence and Writing, a new experimental course that will transform how you think about writing, thinking, and content creation. Join us this fall and embark on a journey to discover the power of generative AI in shaping the future of writing.

Course Highlights:

  • Learn how to find and use AI technologies such as ChatGPT for various writing purposes
  • Understand AI and writing technologies and explore ethical challenges
  • Develop effective AI prompts and search for accurate information
  • Compose texts that seamlessly integrate AI-generated and processed content

In ENGL 222X, you’ll be guided by Dr. Abram Anders, an expert in AI and writing technologies, and supported by an instructional team that will help you succeed in this course. No programming or computer science background is required; we’ll provide all the resources you need.

What can you achieve with AI?

  • Build websites with help from ChatGPT
  • Solve problems using AI-generated ideas
  • Develop a business idea and conduct research for a product or service
  • Write a book with ChatGPT, generating hundreds of pages effortlessly

Course Structure: Each week, you’ll participate in creative challenges that let you experiment with various AI tools and techniques. At the end of the course, you’ll complete a creative project of your choice, such as a multimodal story, essay, video, or even a pitch proposal for an AI-based innovation or entrepreneurial venture.
