Bio

After completing my graduate degree from North Carolina State University, I actually lived in Ames for a little over year while my wife was finishing her residency at the University veterinary hospital, during which I taught a variety of English courses at DMACC and Ellsworth Community College. In 2017, we relocated to Henderson, Nevada, where I’ve spent the past four years as an instructor in the English Department at Nevada State College.

I’m beyond excited to be coming back to Ames. While I lived there, I came to love so many things about it: the landscape and its many moods, the community, the people, the Superdogs, the sweet corn. What’s not to love?

In my spare time I like to cook, pretend to not hate playing golf, and goof around with my two-year-old son. I’m very much looking forward to being a part of Iowa State and making the Midwest home again.
