Bio
Allison Durazzi worked in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering where she focused on external communications. Prior to that, she taught ISUComm courses Introduction to Public Speaking, Business Communication, and Technical Communication, and Technical Communication program courses including a special topics seminar and Business and Technical Editing.
Before coming to Iowa State, Allison worked in a variety of professional settings including law and policy, arts administration, digital marketing, and editing. She’s also worked in more unconventional settings including a youth hostel and on a fishing boat in the Bering Sea. She enjoys delving into these experiences to develop classroom scenarios about professional communication. Off campus, you’ll often find her at the dog park with her rescue dog, BB, or tasting locally made ice cream.
