Bio
Shelby graduated Cum Laude with her B.A. in English as well as a minor in Psychology from Iowa State University in 2022. She has returned to ISU to work towards an M.A. in English with Literature specialization, receiving the George A. Jackson award from the Graduate College for her upcoming studies. She also holds a position as a Graduate Teaching Assistant through the program.
Between studies she worked as an assistant teacher in the ISU Child Development Laboratory School as well as substitute teaching in surrounding school districts. Her special interests include, but are certainly not limited to, teaching of literature, gothic literature, children’s literature, and creative writing. Outside of her professional interests she spends much of her free time reading fiction novels, making jewelry and doing other art projects, and cooking for friends and family.
