Bio

Danson M. Kimathi is a Ph.D. student in the Applied Linguistics and Technology program at Iowa State University. He holds a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Exeter (United Kingdom), awarded through the A. S. Hornby Educational Trust Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Education in English Language and Literature from Kenyatta University, Kenya.

He has taught English in Kenya and the United Kingdom, including a voluntary service as a language teaching assistant. His research interests include Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), language assessment, and teacher development.

He maintains active membership in TESOL International Association, IATEFL, Africa English Language Teachers Association (Africa ELTA), and the English Language Professionals Association of Kenya (ELPAK). He has participated in several professional development activities through these associations, notably conference presentations.
