Bio
Makayla Malachowski (she/her/hers) is a PhD student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at Iowa State University. She received her bachelor’s degrees in creative writing and journalism and her master’s in writing with an emphasis in technical and professional writing from Missouri State University. Her research interests include service-learning, writing pedagogy, transfer theory, disability studies, and popular culture studies. In her free time, Makayla enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved tuxedo cat, Thatcher.
