Bio
In the evenings, Alexa McClellan is an MA student in English, specializing in literature and teaching reading. During the day, she teaches high school English in Des Moines. Alexa graduated cum laude from Iowa State University in Fall 2020. She was awarded the LAS Dean’s High Impact Award for Undergraduate Research for her contribution to research and writing on the University as a form of autopoiesis. While she loves reading and all things literature, her current top academic interests include the study of English/Language Arts curriculum design and its accessibility, American Literature, and TESOL.
