Bio
Tony Baker is a writer, a TV and movie geek, and a former small-town newspaper reporter and academic advisor. His news stories have appeared in The Greenville (Ohio) Daily Advocate, The Early Bird, The Register-Herald, and The Sharon (PA) Herald. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, completed at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2015, and a Master of Arts in English from Indiana University East. He is currently a second-year student in Iowa State’s MFA in Creative Writing and Environment program.
In addition to his work as a journalist, teacher, tutor and academic advisor, Tony’s creative writing explores themes of loneliness and the culture and politics of the Midwest through the lens of science fiction, fantasy and horror.
