Bio

Atlas is an MA student in English with a specialization in Literature. He is also a graduate teaching assistant for the English department. He received his bachelor’s degree in English with minors in Women’s and Gender Studies and World Film Studies from Iowa State University. He is also a 2024 recipient of the Freda Huncke Endowment Teaching Fellowship. Atlas’ current research interests include parallels between early horror stories and horror film and the evolution of queerness in monster literature and film.
