Bio
Bakhtawar [bʌkʰt.ɑːwər] is the first woman in her family’s history to pursue a doctorate. She is currently working toward a PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Linguistics, a master’s in Applied Linguistics, and an associate degree in Education from Pakistan.
Drawn to the power of writing from an early age, Bakhtawar believes words can spark change and leave wonder in their wake. Her pursuit of a PhD is not just academic—it’s personal. It is the result of perseverance—or as Angela Duckworth might say, grit. Her research interests lie at the intersection of written discourse, culture, and technology. She is especially curious about how AI-driven document design and digital instructions influence user experience, particularly through their rhetorical and stylistic choices.
Beyond her academic life, she enjoys hiking, swimming, writing, and watching sunsets—moments of stillness that often inspire her thinking.
