Bio
Dina Gadieva is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics and Technology at Iowa State University. Originally from Russia, she has years of experience in English language instruction, educational administration, and teacher training. She has taught ESL/EFL around the world, working in both academic and community-based programs.
She earned her MA in TESL from St. Cloud State University, MN. Her thesis investigated intonation patterns in Russian-accented English, contributing to current discussions on prosody in second language speech. Her current research interests include L2 pronunciation, corpus phonetics, and the integration of educational technology in language teaching.
At ISU, she teaches ENGL 1500/2500, ENGL 1010, and serves as a speech consultant at Center for Communication Excellence.
