Bio
Kristen Neumann is a second year PhD student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. She graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a BA in Secondary English and Communication Education. After graduating, she taught English and Speech in several Minnesota high schools before joining the ISU RPC program, where she has taught multiple sections of ENGL 1500 and 2500.
Her research interests include health communication – with a specific focus on advance directives and mortality education – writing education, and technical writing and instruction. Kristen enjoys spending time outside camping, hiking, and canoeing, specifically in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota. She is also a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur wannabe. Her office door is always open to anyone who wants to chat on all subjects English, outdoors, coffee, and college softball.
