Bio
Oluwakemi M. Alo is a Ph.D. student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at Iowa State University, where she also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Saint Louis University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of organizational and health communication, with a focus on how communication can improve organizational effectiveness and health outcomes. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Oluwakemi gained experience in research, teaching, and community-engaged communication projects. She was one of the 18 recipients of the SLU 1818 Community Engagement Grant, through which she led a community-engaged project focused on multilingual health education and ovarian cancer awareness for immigrant communities.
