Sandipan Das (Sandy) is a PhD student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at Iowa State University. He holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in Managing People and Organizations and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Management, India. He brings five years of experience as a tech consultant for CVS Health and a year as an NC Growth business analyst. This background in operations and tech strategy informs his research on how AI and multimodal tools enhance organizational communication and strategic decision-making.
An active scholar, Sandipan has published on organizational communication barriers in the International Journal of English Learning and Teaching Skills (IJELTS) and presented at the Association for Business Communication (ABC) Annual International Conference. Beyond academics, he is the author of the bestselling poetry collection Marshmallows and Lilacs and an internationally nominated short-film actor. These creative endeavors sharpen his focus on storytelling within professional narratives. At Iowa State, he aims to explore the fusion of technology and human-centric rhetoric to drive business transformation and pedagogical innovation.
