Bio

“I’m Sorour Askarzadeh, a Ph.D. student in RPC program at Iowa State University. My background spans English language and literature, ESL teaching, CAD engineering, and UX/UI design. My recent work has focused on designing and redesigning websites for small businesses, emphasizing clear, accessible, and user-centered communication. These interdisciplinary experiences have shaped my interest in how language and digital design work together to support meaningful interaction. I’m especially drawn to inclusive design and the ways communication practices can be made more equitable through thoughtful digital interfaces. Through the RPC program, I hope to explore how rhetorical theory, and professional communication can inform more inclusive, ethical, and effective communication in digital and public spaces.
