Susanto was invited to talk about the use of technology in the classroom in the TESOL Seminar in Ashton University.
The title of his presentation was “Digital Accessibility: Improving Accessibility of Digital Learning Environments through Technology.” He introduced the concept of digital accessibility, its standards, and practical approaches to meet them. He shared my evaluations of several UK websites, both private and public, highlighting some best practices and examples needing improvement to meet accessibility standards. He also proposed 10 ways to enhance accessibility, from simple adjustments in popular software to more advanced solutions using large language models. The discussion then connected these insights to classroom practices.
