Whatโ€™s something you are passionate about (outside of ISUCOMM)?

Katie: I’m passionate about exploring places, foods, languages, and cultures that are new to me.

Tony: Stories.

What is something you have learned from your students during the first weeks of class?

Katie: My students taught me all about the different on-campus activities they’re involved in during the first week of classes.

Tony: Don’t assume they’re any better at navigating Canvas than you are.

What is your most frequently used emoji?

Katie: The blushing smiley face ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you had your own late-night talk show, who would you invite as your first guest?

Katie: My first guest would definitely be Conan O’Brien.

Tony: Stephen King.

What one teaching tool will we always find you with?

Katie: I’ve always got a reflection activity in my back pocket.

Tony: My notebook and pen. (Technically two, but each is useless without the other.)

If you had to sing karaoke, what song would you pick?

Katie: I would sing “That Don’t Impress Me Much” by Shania Twain.

Tony: The King Seesar Song.

What’s your favorite place in Ames so far, either for work or recreation?

Katie: So far, my favorite spot to work off-campus is the Ames Public Library.

Tony: For me it’s the movie theaters.
