Bio
Ryan Everett is on the home stretch of a PhD in his never-ending pursuit to teach communication and composition skills to future leaders and professionals. He studies alternative grading practices (e.g. “ungrading”) and their impacts on students’ learning motivation. Separately, Ryan’s scholarship dabbles in public memory.
Ryan is a product of Des Moines, Iowa (Go Roughriders!). He graduated from Wartburg College, earning a BA in Secondary English Education. He has taught middle and high school language arts in the Des Moines metro.
Ryan enjoys spending free time with family and friends, bicycling, veggie gardening, hammocking, eating, drinking, music, and poetry.
He has found any combination of these activities works best. He eagerly looks forward to working with any and all members of Cyclone Nation!
