Paul Kimumwe, Graduate Teaching Assistant in Rhetoric and Professional Communication, has a report published by the Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA).  “The State of Media Freedom and Journalists’ Safety in Africa 2022” was co-authored by Paul Kimumwe, Victor Kapiyo, Simone Toussi, and Dr. Wairagala Wakabi.  The report assesses the state of media freedom and safety of journalists in Africa and provides evidence-based recommendations to guide policy makers, media development organizations and other media freedom and human rights actors to address identified gaps that undermine the safety of journalists and media freedom in Africa.  It was published (launched today) during the commemoration to mark the African International Day to End Impunity against Journalists held Thursday 10 to Saturday 12, November 2022, at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe – Africa.  https://cipesa.org/wp-content/files/The_State_of_Media_Freedom_and_Safety_of_Journalists_in_Africa_Report.pdf
