This event is to welcome all members of the English department and get you acquainted with one lovely chunk of Iowa. You are welcome to bring friends from outside the department or the University as well.
Our event will be held at Casey on the 22nd of September (next Friday) at 6:30pm. We’ve included instructions on how to get to the Reserve at the bottom of this email. Once you arrive, follow the trail to the picnic bench where we will be waiting with a fire, s’mores supplies, and potatoes ready to cook on the open range. We encourage you to bring water, good shoes, and perhaps long pants as it can get chilly and the path is quite narrow. If you have a camping chair, you are welcome to bring that as well.
We recommend carpooling. Reach out to your fellow cohort members and department friends to see if they want to ride together.
