Duong Nguyen is a PhD student in the Applied Linguistics and Technology at Iowa State University. Duong holds an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Michigan State University and a BA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Vietnam. Before coming to the US under Fulbright Student Program, Duong taught general English for different levels of students at a gifted high school for four years and at a bilingual middle school for one year. Her research interests include Corpus Linguistics, Data-Driven Learning, Second Language Writing, and Genre Analysis.
